NeuroMetrix Releases DPNCheck 2.0 Point-of-Care Tool

NeuroMetrix has released DPNCheck 2.0, the firm’s point-of-care device that leverages nerve conduction tech to spot peripheral neuropathy.
 
An increasing number of healthcare providers and health plans that support the Medicare population have recently turned their attention to early detection and management of this condition to help reduce their patients’ risk of foot ulcers, falls, pain, and other complications.
 
DPNCheck 2.0 offers rapid patient screening via quantitative peripheral nerve function measurement. It features a touchscreen, onboard step-by-step instructions, temperature compensation, real-time nerve response display, and other enhancements.
 
Its companion software allows clinical documentation of the test results. NeuroMetrix plans to enhance the tech further with cloud-based aggregation of population health data and integration with provider EHR systems later this year.
